Adapting to different types of gas
To adapt the hob to a different type of gas other than the
default type (indicated by the label placed on the upper
part of the hob or on the packaging), the burner nozzles
should be replaced as follows:
Remove the hob grids and slide the burners off their
seats.
Unscrew the nozzles (Fig. 7) using a 7 mm socket
spanner, and replace them with nozzles for the new
type of gas (see table 1 Burner and nozzle
characteristics).
Once this procedure is finished, replace the old rating
sticker with one indicating the new type of gas used.
Stickers are available from any of our Technical
Assistance Centres.
Setting the burners to minimum
While the burner is lit, turn the tap to its minimum
setting.
Remove the knob (Fig. 8) and use a screwdriver to fine-
tune the adjustment screw inside the tap pin, until the
flame is small but steady (the minimum setting will
increase if the screw is loosened, and will decrease if it
is tightened).
N.B.: if the appliance is conne
cted to liquid gas, the
adjustment screw must be fastened as tightly as
possible.
Having adjusted the flame to the required low setting,
while the burner is alight, quickly change the position of
the knob from minimum to maximum and vice versa
several times, making sure that the flame is not
extinguished.
Electrical connection
THE EQUIPMENT MUST BE EARTHED
CORRECTLY.
The hobs are designed for operation with an alternating
current at the power supply voltage and frequency
indicated on the data plate (this is located underneath the
hob; alternatively the information may be found at the end
of the instruction manual). Make sure that the local power
supply voltage value is the same as the value indicated
on the data plate.
Gas connection
Connection to gas piping or the gas canister should be
performed in accordance with current legislation (UNI-
CIG 7129 and 7131) only after ensuring that the
appliance is suitable for use with the type of gas
supplied.
This appliance is designed for operation with the type
of gas indicated on the label (this can be found on the
hob). If the gas supplied is not the same type as
indicated for the appliance, replace the relevant
nozzles (supplied) while consulting the paragraph
Adapting to different types of gas.
For safe operation, to ensure more efficient energy use
and to increase the durability of the appliance, make
sure that the supply pressure adheres to the values
listed in table 1 Burner and nozzle specifications.
Alternatively, fit a suitable pressure regulator to the inlet
hose in accordance with standard UNI-CIG 7430.
Perform the connection in such a way that the
appliance is not subjected to any kind of strain.
Connect it to the adjustable pipe fitting (½G male
threaded), located on the rear right-hand side of the
appliance (Fig. 6), using a rigid metal pipe with fittings
which conform to the UNI-CIG 7129 standard, or using a
flexible jointless metal hose which conforms to regulation
UNI-CIG 9891 and which should be no longer than 2000
mm. The seal must always be replaced after rotating the
pipe fitting (seal supplied with the appliance). When the
installation process is complete, make sure that the seals
for the gas circuit, the internal connections and the valves
are in perfect condition, using a soapy solution (never use
a flame). Make sure that the connection hose cannot
come into contact with moving parts which could damage
it or crush it. Make sure that the natural gas piping is
suitable for supplying the appliance when all the burners
are operating.
To perform connection for liquid gas (in a canister), fit a
pressure regulator which conforms to standard UNI-CIG
7432-75 and subsequent modifications.
