 ELECTRIC HOTPLATES may have different diameters and operate at

different power levels. These power levels may be “normal” or “rapid” (the

latter may be distinguished from the others by a red spot in the middle of

the hotplate).

 ELECTRIC HOTPLATE INDICATOR LIGHT switches on whenever

the selector knob is moved from the ‘off’ position.

 GAS BURNERS differ in size and power. Use the diameter of the cookware

to choose the most appropriate burner to cook with.
